With the mission successfully completed, the searchers began the five-day journey to Barbados. As they packed up the equipment and cleaned the lab spaces all were filled with a tremendous sense of accomplishment. Paul was profoundly relieved, after all he had put five years of historical research to the ultimate test and emerged victorious. The I-52 was indeed where he said it was, in the middle of the deep, cold Atlantic.

Nauticos Corporation, based in Hanover, Maryland, is currently celebrating its tenth year of ocean exploration. Nauticos, at the time called Meridian Sciences, provides technical and scientific support services, complemented by advanced computer hardware and software, in the fields of ocean engineering, navigation, and undersea technology. Customers and associations include the U.S. Navy, the Defense Mapping Agency, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, the U.S. Geological Survey, and commercial ventures. We are specialists in the exploration of the deep ocean, including mapping, sonar imaging, and search/survey operations.

Sound Ocean Systems, Inc.

Sound Ocean Systems, Inc., based in Redmond Washington, coordinates and manages oceanographic field operations and develops marine hardware systems for government and commercial customers. Led by President Ted Brockett, SOSI project
s have included the design, construction, and testing of tethered vehicle systems, deep water mining systems, underwater drills, and remotely-operated underwater vehicles. Customers include the U.S. Navy, commercial underwater salvage companies, and ocean resource development projects.
